I have the same issue ... but only on 2 of my 4 spotlight cams. What’s going on?

I just finished setting up my Stick Up Cam and the device informed me that it needed to update itself.

Make sure your phone’s volume is turned up. I recharged both batteries overnight and inserted both batteries into the unit. For a battery draining with a Solar Panel connected, cold weather is more consistent as the seasons change and the charge life of a battery can differ.

I have two batteries, both fully charged, and my camera won't recognize the second battery when installed. Under device health it will say, require battery. If you are seeing a message in your device health that says "add a solar panel," this is not an indicator of your Solar Panel failing to charge. That is correct - the "Established" status means that the Solar Panel is connected.

Thanks! Do you know if there is a guarantee with Ring or a quick fix for this problem? And Ring has no way to ever know if they are working or not.

We have been noticing some of our neighbors reporting on this concern, and have a few things you can try to get it up and running. Makes no sense. If lights do not indicate setup mode on the Spotlight Cam, or setup is not completing, perform a reset on the Camera by holding the setup button for 20 seconds. You may need to try a different power outlet or micro-USB charging cable if there are no charging lights on the battery. This helps ensure that your Spotlight Cam stays water-tight. It's best to observe the battery percentage throughout a sunny day to see if the battery level is changing.

Be patient and the device will tell you when the update is complete. Feeling frustrated. Are you able to reach out to our support team, as recommended if the troubleshooting steps given are to no avail for you? Camera has 1 year warranty.

Ring Spotlight Came battery percentage question So, I just bought a 2nd battery for the Spotlight Cam.

I am having the exact same issue. Charge the battery for five to 10 minutes, then reinsert it.

Why is it not showing the percentage for both batteries? What’s going on? The Stick Up Cam isn’t working after I insert the battery/plug in the solar panel. I have panels on my other cameras and they work.

I had to mail 2 back do far. Ensure there is no debris in the battery hatch and that the hatch is closed. 1 battery and I tried both slots.
