The Diploma of Youth Ministry is a great course to develop, grow and learn new skills in Youth Ministry. Other than Jesus Christ and everything to do with Him, my favourite past time is the ocean where I have spent a full half of my waking life either surfing, diving, boating, kite surfing, spearfishing, open water swimming, paddling or sailing. Overall, my time at Bible College was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone and I look to forward to what God has in store for me in the years to come! I am a qualified lawyer with several years’ experience but exchanged law for grace about 16 years ago. In order to serve our students as well as possible, Allan keeps working away at a better grasp of the New Testament in general and of the Greek in which it was written, at a deeper understanding of John’s Gospel and Romans in particular, and a clearer grasp of what the Bible teaches us about serving the Lord Jesus. He wants his students to be set up for a lifetime of coming to know Jesus better. These programs are administered from VCI Graduate School in San Antonio, Texas, United States of America.

Having now completed my Certificate IV in Christian Ministry, I have no regrets. He enjoys helping people to understand and be equipped to teach God’s word to others. Don’s research focusses on the nature of biblical prayer and its implications (see his publications here). My time at Acts2CoME has strengthened my knowledge in my faith, the church and the works of ministry. I am married to Naomi who is a very gifted clinical social worker and brilliant at choosing men. Overall, it was an awesome year of mission and discerning where God is calling me in the coming years. He was a the associate pastor at St Matthew’s, Shenton Park then Rector of Wyalkatchem/Koorda/Dowerin before taking on the position of Senior Staffworker and Regional Director of AFES in 1991. It was an awesome opportunity to learn more about my faith, how to work on better communication and expand to a greater capacity of leadership. He loves teaching the Scriptures and serving others who teach the Scriptures. Every aspect of the college shaped me in my faith emotionally, spiritually and intellectually and I feel much more mature in my faith because of it. Working for God in a ministry that I love thanks to all the things that I learnt at Acts2CoME in 2014. It has taught me the beauty of our Catholic faith and how we are to always shared it with others, and celebrate.

I am truly grateful for the memorable years at the college! Some of my favourite moments of this year has been going on a 40km hike on the Bibbulman track, playing games with the elderly at Little Sisters of the Poor, hanging out with the Youth Mission Team and learning about Apologetics, Sacraments and Prayer and the Old Testament.
